                                                                    Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Posters must be produced as Portrait format this is 80cm (Height) x 100cm (Width).

Posters will be on display for two days during the conference.

Presenters will be informed about the number of board allocated for each presenter.

Posters should include a title, name and affiliation of the presenter(s) labelled with lettering at least 1” (2.54 cm or 72 point) high from the top of the poster space.

Before you design your poster, consider how much text should appear in the display.

Text should be concise enough to be read in under 10 minutes and from a distance of 4 feet

(about 120 cm).

Don’t simply use a wall of text – it is not attractive or readable.

The  text,  tables  and  graphics  should  look  integrated.  Words  and  illustrations  should  go together – tables and graphics should be integrated within the text whenever possible, avoiding clumsy diverting segregation.

Posters will be mounted on poster boards that will be provided by INPALMS Congress 2019.

Illustrations:

Use photos, diagrams, graphs or any other artwork as a focal point to attract attention and these should be easily visible from a distance.

Try to make all illustrations (charts, pies, graphs, etc.) into bold graphic display where text is minimum and symbols are maximum.

Avoid colors that will distract the viewer from the focal parts of your presentation.

The Design:

Sections and sequence of materials should be clearly indicated but kept simple. Ideally, a well-

constructed poster will be self-explanatory, understandable to the viewer. Successful poster presentations are those which achieve coverage and clarity The focus should be on major findings and not on everything you know.

Finally, it is often helpful to ask a colleague to function as an objective reader and give you feedback on both the content and the design.
